1. Provisional Navigation License & Provisional Radio License:
Power of attorney in favor of Delvalle & Delvalle to represent the vessel before the Panamanian Maritime Authority (Model provided by Delvalle & Delvalle).
Purchase and sales contract, by which the current owner acquired the vessel (Bill of Sale). If the vessel is of new construction, the construction certificate is required.
Acceptance of the purchase and sale contract. (Document provided by Delvalle & Delvalle).
Document of the cancellation of the previous register.
Tonnage certificate, issued by an authorized classification society on behalf of the Republic of Panama.
If the vessel has more than 20 years old, it will require a special inspection by an entity duly recognize by the Panamanian authorities.
Confirmation of radio authority in charge of the radio accounts.
Application form for the radio license duly filed. (Model provided by Delvalle & Delvalle).
2. Permanent Navigation License and Permanent Radio License:
After the provisional license of navigation is issued, the bill and sale contract of the vessel must be inscribe in the Public Register of Panama. If the vessel is new, new building certificate must be inscribe in the Public Register of Panama. This License is valid for a period of four (4) years, renewable every four (4).
In order to obtain both the permanent navigation and radio license; all the documents above must be originals and sent to us by courier. They must be authenticated by a Notary Public of their country of origin. At the same time they must be authenticated by apostille. If the country that issues the documentation is not subscribed in the “The Apostille Convention”, the documents must be authenticated by the Consulate of Panama in the country where they were issued.
